Iberzoo+Propet, the great commercial and business platform for pet professionals, organized by Ifema Madrid and promoted by AMVAC and Aedpac, successfully concluded its sixth edition with figures that the organizers describe as "magnificent" and that demonstrate "the need that existed in this sector to meet again to generate new professional, business and service synergies". In total, the fair brought together 270 exhibiting companies, almost 600 brands and 16,938 participating professionals.


Three days of celebration in pavilion 9 of the fairgrounds, in which a high number of activities were carried out as part of an official program that has been the perfect complement to the exhibition of new products, services or equipment, which has also hosted the XXXIX Vetmadrid Annual Congress organized by AMVAC and the IV Forum of the industry and commerce of the pet sector of Aedpac.


"The positive balance and the good reception of the fair have corroborated the need expressed in the sector to celebrate this meeting again, as well as the growing importance that the professional care of pets has gained in recent years", assure the organizers.


In the same way, they emphasize that, "one of the keys to the success of this fair has been its increasingly strengthened international facet". And it is that they ensure that, both at the exhibition level, and of visiting professionals, this call has been perceived as a "meeting point of great interest for foreign business".


In fact, they point out that international participation has reached 10% among direct exhibitors, coming from 13 countries, and 31% in the case of companies, representing 21 countries. The international presence also registers 50% more professional visitors than in the last edition held in person in 2020, coming from 43 countries.


In the case of Portugal, which usually represents 50% of foreign visitors, the figure has increased by 54%. "Foreign professionals who have visited the fair come mainly from Portugal, Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Belgium and Israel. Data that represents about 8% of the visitors to the event," they indicate.


“We wanted to see each other again. We close Iberzoo+Propet 2022 with great satisfaction for a job well done together with the sector, and for being able to once again offer all professionals in the professional pet sector the best and most productive space to meet. Once again, the involvement of AMVAC and Aedpac, our partners in this project, has been key.


In addition, the LiveConnect digital environment has provided added value so that interaction between professionals continues to take place over time and in any geographical area”, concludes Lola González, director of the fair.
