Distrivet, founded in 1986 as a distributor of veterinary products, began in 1997 the distribution in the field of companion animals and grew progressively until, today, this sector represents 80% of the company's business volume.

As of 2004, Distrivet entered a process of expansion through various acquisitions: the purchase of Troy Calidad Services, S.L. (Madrid) in 2004, the veterinary division of Sumevet (Alicante) in 2008, Pascual Covet (Valencia) in 2010, Leal Feito (Baleares) in 2011, Holapet Iberian Partners in 2019 and Yolanda Esteras in 2020. The company's acquisitions have been decisive to position the company in 7 strategic points of the peninsula.

For its part, Covetrus was born in 2019 from the union of Henry Schein Animal Health and Vets First Choice, positioning itself as an international technology and services company at the service of animal health. Covetrus thus manages to position itself as a distributor that combines a wide catalog of veterinary products with new technological perspectives based on data and easy-to-use business management tools, to support the daily practice of the veterinary clinic.
