On June 17, AEDPAC participated in the meeting held at the Editorial Unit headquarters, promoted by the newspaper El Mundo in collaboration with the Artemisan Foundation. In this act and through different legal, sectoral and political tables, the different problems presented by the draft were addressed. Veterinarians, jurists, forestry engineers, hunters, farmers, politicians and experts and those affected in general from various fields agreed on the serious consequences that the approval of the draft Law on Animal Rights promoted by the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030 would have.

AEDPAC participated in the table moderated by the director of the Artemisan Foundation, Luis Fernando Villanueva, which included representatives from different rural and urban sectors affected by the Law. The veterinarian and delegate of AEDPAC Alfonso Beleña, the president of ASAJA, Pedro Barato , the president of the Valencian Hunting Federation, Lorena Martínez, José Ramón Caballero, representative of the General Council of the College of Veterinarians of Spain, Carlos del Álamo representing the College of Forestry Engineers.

During the same, the speakers highlighted the serious damage that the entry into force of the law would entail for many professional sectors and for traditional activities such as hunting or livestock, and even for the very animals that the regulations intend to protect.

The diagnosis of the various tables of the meeting made up of professionals from various sectors, agreed that it is a hastily prepared law, without dialogue, without consensus, with a lot of ideology and little common sense. That invades regional powers and has not taken into account the reality of Spanish society.
