Due to the exceptional situation of COVID19, the Annual Meeting of the EPO - European Pet Organization, was held virtually on September 1, 2020 and was attended by the President of AEDPAC Mr. Lluc Ferrer, representing the Industry Sector and Commerce in Spain.
Among the multiple resolutions agreed, it is worth highlighting that the main global associations of the industry and commerce sector of the Petcare Sector of Europe (EPO) Canada and the United States, among others, that have the affiliation of companies that guide their activity in the trade and animal husbandry, have vindicated in a joint and open letter to the media and public opinion their firm commitment to the welfare and defense of the quality of life of animals in the animal trade in accordance with the legislation in force in each country, for their transparency and security and well-being and, in turn, denounce intrusion, bad practices and illegal trade, especially in the digital sphere, as well as counteracting in large part, the actions and proposals of various Animal NGOs that advocate a total ban on trade in all types of animals.
